The two weeks after the tornado we set up with Bryant Bank cooking for people in shelters and for first response workers. We fed several families that were staying with friends. The month after the storm our real jobs had us working eighty four hour weeks involved with storm clean up.
Several out of state teams stayed at our church and did storm rebuilding in the Holt area. We fed several of these teams dinners at night that usually consisted of pasta and spaghetti.
The last weekend of June and the first weekend of August we fed over a hundred people barbecue at Lake Day parties.We also had a fourth of July rib fest with some families around the neighborhood. Toward the end of summer we are picking peppers and starting to make a batch of our hot sauce and looking for to football.
